What about individual breakdown of grades for each subject? Like in the first year there was instructor's commentary.

Part III is a huge waste of time, mainly for people who have never been to Cambridge to get a Cantab label on their CVs. Lim Jeck is going to get a free MA in a few years, and he doesn’t need it. If he’s planning to go to Jane Street or Rentech after this, then spending another idyllic year in Cambridge makes little difference; but if he has any ambitions in a mathematical career, especially one in pure mathematics, he’s wasting precious time he really doesn’t have. Remember that he’s already two years behind his mathematical peers because of NS and mathematics really is a young men’s game, particularly if he harbors hope of winning the Fields medal someday.

Thank you Anonymous who posted on 28/6, 18:26 for your concern and comments. Appreciated it a lot :)

Lim Jeck has taken some MMath modules while he was in Y3. I don’t think it is a huge waste of time for him to take Part III. He commented before that Part III was a lot more challenging than Part I to IIB modules.

Yes, he intends to embark on a mathematical career in pure Mathematics. I guess Part III should help him make a better decision on which areas he should explore or research on for his PhD.

Thanks again for your comments!
