I came across your blog whilst looking up the IMO 2011 results. Excellent job on that by the way. This is a very good list, i personally love FMA, and HxH. Did you try to give One Piece a reading? It is undoubtedly my favorite manga. I didn't particularly like it at first because of the goofy artistry, but one you get past that there is a lot of depth to the story and characters.
My parents only read selective ones like Hikaru no go and case closed and watched Prince of Tennis and HunterxHunter DVDs which we had borrowed from the library. Since this post, we have watched One Piece and Fairy Tail anime which we enjoyed, and borrowed Reborn (our favourite!) and Naruto comic books.
