Is this year harder than last year?
What do you approximate the cut off point to be?
Qn35 only has n=2015, 180
What do you think the cut-off point would be for bronze?
Question 16:
AP = either 27 or 29
27 + 29 = 56
Can anyone clarify this thanks.
What is this year's cut off for round 2?
Why is question 8 ans 5?
Sorry question 18
What do you think is the cut-off point for Bronze. Is about 10 points enough?
Based on past years result 10 points in enough for Bronze I am wondering whats the cop for hon mention though
What's the estimated minimum for bronze?
Do you find the difficulty of the paper to be similar, easier, or tougher compared to other years?
I think this paper was tougher than other years, what do you guys think?
Do you guys think 8 is just enough for bronze?
I also got exactly 8, hoping for a bronze
Same, really hope it's just enough
No, AP is either 25 or 26.
First, note that triangles ADQ and AQP are similar such that DQ/QA=AQ/AP and hence AQ^2=DQ*AP.
Next, AD^2 + DQ^2 = AQ^2 = DQ*AP such that 12^2+DQ^2=DQ(34-DQ), yielding DQ=8 or 9 and hence AP = 25 or 26
can u pls post some explanations
I got exactly 18, do u guys think that is a gold?
Hi Hantao, the initial answers are provided by a student fr NUSH. I will ask Lim Jeck or Lim Li to check the answer for Q18. Thanks.
Lim Jeck has confirmed answer for q18 to be 4. It is amended. Thanks Hantao.
Thank you! ☺
are all the answers here correct?do your think this paper is easier or tougher than previous years?
hi, anyone knows when the results are out ? thanks
Hi, dont think the cutoff is so high cos my friend and i got 15 and we both got into round 2.
15 for junior can get in ? I feel this year harder than last year.
I got around 16, but still got into round 2, so I don't think the cut-off is that high
Anyone knows how to do question 4? The question is on tourist.
You got to realise (and prove) that if there are n tourists, the minimum would be (n - 7) tourists. Since the minimum number of tourists is 10, the minimum would thus be 10 - 7 = 3.
Just consider when n = 10 to 13, there is a way to get 3 tourists only.
How's round 2? How many questions can you do ?
Are the round 2 results out yet?
Any idea when results will be out?
Some Question the answers r wrong
