is it miscalculated for the GPA?

The GPA is not miscalculated. Number of module credits (MCs) is taken into consideration when calculating GPA. E.g., English (year-long module) has 6 MCs, each Physics module carries only 2 MCs. Hence, a lower grade for English will somehow pull down the overall GPA.
