Cambridge Year 2 Results

Top 3 in Cambridge Mathematical Tripos Part IB are Warren Li, Lim Jeck and Andy Zhao. All 3 are from Trinity College.

Jane Street On-Campus Electronic Trading Challenge @ University of Cambridge

Jane Street has hosted an on-Campus Electronic Trading Challenge (ETC), a day-long programming contest where participants competed against each other in a simulated market, on Saturday 21st October. The objective of the challenge was to learn about trading by writing a bot to make efficient markets against other teams.

The event began at 10:00 am BST and continued into the night. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were provided. This event was intended only for students currently enrolled at the University of Cambridge.

Lim Jeck (Mathematics), Sean Seet (Natural Sciences) and Wayne Soo (Engineering) formed an NUS High alumni team to take part in the above challenge. They emerged as the Champion team and won £511 each!

Cambridge Trinity College's Admission of Scholars Ceremony

The College Statutes require all Senior and Junior Scholars to be admitted to their Scholarships after signing a declaration of loyalty to the College. The admission ceremony was held on 13 Oct in the Chapel in the presence of the Council.

Both Lim Jeck and Sean are Senior Scholars (conferred based on Tripos Part 1A exam results)

Total scholarship amount is £250 + £240 (given to all Trinity College students who got a First)

Cambridge Year 1 Results

Top 4 in Cambridge Mathematical Tripos Part IA are Warren Li, Andy Zhao, Lim Jeck and Alex Gunning. All 4 are from Trinity College.

Out of about 250 Math Tripos Part IA students in Cambridge, 75 obtained Class 1 (70% and above) i.e. First Class.

Trinity College awards a prize of £240 to her students who have achieved a First in Part IA of the Mathematical Tripos.  For Senior Scholars (top few among the First), there is an additional award of £250 and some meal allowance which is about £74.

Both Choong Yin and Lim Jeck took the same BA flight back to Cambridge

Lim Jeck was back to Singapore for term break from 19 March to 23 April. The Easter Term starts on 25 April. He will be back to Singapore again for long break on 19 June 2017.

Cambridge 2016-17 Michaelmas Term Supervisors' Report

Cambridge has 3 terms in a year: Michaelmas Term, Lent Term and Easter Term. There are no exams in the first two terms; all academic exams are held during the last term.
